A importância do vínculo entre terapeuta e cliente para o sucesso do processo tem sido consenso na literatura. No entanto, as características e habilidades do terapeuta que contribuem para esse vínculo não têm sido suficientemente esclarecidas. O presente estudo visou esclarecer as características dos psicoterapeutas favoráveis à formação e à manutenção da aliança, assim como, avaliar habilidades sociais que a literatura situa como parte desses requisitos. Analisou ainda, o papel das instituições formadoras no ensino das habilidades apontadas como indicadoras para a efetividade do processo. Para tanto, efetuou-se uma revisão sistemática de artigos em três bases de dados internacionais, recuperando-se 125 que, sob critérios de inclusão e exclusão, resultaram em 13 textos. A análise buscou converter, em comportamentos relativos às Habilidades Sociais, as referências a características pessoais e técnicas encontradas. A investigação permitiu verificar a importância dessa descrição no planejamento de condições de seu ensino para o processo de formação profissional e o aperfeiçoamento das pesquisas no campo das Habilidades Sociais do terapeuta. Social skills of the therapist in the formation of the psychotherapeutic alliance: review study. The importance of the bond between therapist and client for the success of the process has been consensus in the literature. However, the characteristics and abilities of the therapist that contribute to this bond have not been sufficiently clarified. The present study aimed to clarify the characteristics of psychotherapists favorable to the formation and maintenance of the alliance, as well as to evaluate social skills that the literature places as part of these requirements and the role of training institutions in the teaching of the skills indicated as indicators for the effectiveness of the process. A systematic review of articles was carried out in three international databases, retrieving 125 that, under inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulted in 13 texts. The analysis sought to convert, in behaviors related to Social Skills, the references to personal and technical characteristics found. The investigation allowed to verify the importance of this description in the planning of conditions of its teaching for the process of professional formation and the improvement of the researches in the field of the Social Skills of the therapist.
